Something tells us Slim Thug and his H-Town homies were trying to prove a point with their new record “Love It.”
Despite pitched down vocals having pretty much jumped the shark, Thug and crew rock each of their boastful 16s completely screwed up, which is much more traditional where they come from than the sprinkles of screw most artists use these days. Overall, the bold move works, tying together the boastful vocals well with the dark, evolving production.
