It’s like my grandpappy always said: “boy, you aren’t an established rapper until you have Nardwaur shoves a microphone in your face and hands you 5-10 vinyls.”
Mission accomplished for the man behind TSS’ album of the year.
We’ll call the Chance The Rapper/Nardwaur interview what it is: 12 minutes of awkwardness distilled in the greatest possible way. Let’s be real: he’ll always be a friend of TSS, but one doesn’t come out of a Nardwaur with the same amount of self-assurence that one has coming in. You really just have to measure yourself against interviewees of the past, and hope that the incredible depth of the Canadian’s research doesn’t completely catch you off guard.
And on a more serious note, Chano made an appearance on the Arsenio Hall show last night and let’s just say it was great. He and the late night host chop it up about Chicago’s music scene, his lyrics on “Paranoia”, which led into a message directed to the youth of Chicago. Certainly worth the watch.
