New 2015 Ford Mustang Gets An Impressive Facelift

By / 12.05.13

Riding on the coattails of a very successful Black Friday surge, Ford catches the eyes of auto lovers with the official premiere of the newly designed 2015 Mustang. Leaked photos of the pony car set the web ablaze when fuzzy pictures gave a notion that the Mustang would look like the Ford Fusion. Purists became pretty pissed off. Now that the car has officially been revealed, we can see its a real beauty.

The suspension upgrades stand as the most impressive upgrades to the vehicle. Camaro fans insulted the less-than handling in the current Mustangs, but that ends in 2015. Engineers borrowed from the Germans and implemented multi-link suspension in the rear as well as separate coil springs and shocks in the front. Said enhancements should make for snappier, long-overdue handling and braking.

Potential owners can opt for the classic 5.0 V8, the 4-cylinder EcoBoost 2.3-liter turbocharged engine or the cheaper 3.7-liter V-6. The latter engine is ideal since this Mustang will be making a push back into the thirsty foreign markets, where some haven’t seen new ‘Stangs in over 20 years.

The new design’s grill, mirroring that of the attractive Fusion and looks like the Aston Martin Vanquish, meets a divided audience. This is fine though because it gives the car a worldly accent. The rest of the Mustang still looks like the current generation, which is a great thing. The body is sharply etched and still sexy. It still rocks the same awesome digital LEDs and spaceship coupe-look while the interior is decked out with all the new high-tech, luxury goodies.

Overall, it’s a gorgeous car. The updates were actually pretty slight but they stand out just enough to give the Mustang a new look. With the performance enhancements, technological upgrades, and nose job, you could say the Mustang has come a long way in 50 years. The car’s anniversary falls on April 17 2014. Hopefully we can take the latest edition on a test drive soon.
