Girlfriends get your credit cards ready. If you want him to shop at Tiffany’s for February 14, maybe you should stop by your local sneaker boutique a week earlier. Nike announced that the long-awaited Nike SB Dunk High ‘Tiffany’ would finally release on February 8.
It’s hard to believe that nearly a decade has passed since Nike collaborated with Diamond Supply Co. on the low version of the much revered colorway that helped reestablish the classic Dunk silhouette. So much has changed within the sneaker community since 2005, that it will be very interesting to see the response to the return of the classic baby blue and faux crocodile kicks, particularly amongst the hypebeasts who’ve apparently moved on and now direct all of their undeserved adulation to shitty Foamposite colorways over Dunks. Let’s not forget the resellers who can’t wait to jack “buy it now” prices higher than the Dallas Cowboys’ offensive line in the seventies.
There are rumors the new Tiffs will be available at a wider network of accounts than the OG lows. Will the lack of exclusivity turn some buyers off? Will the messageboard bickering reach a fever pitch? Most importantly, will you be shelling out your hard-earned dough?
