Anthony Davis is going to be a top five player next year. He’s the best player in the league that none of you is paying attention to. But get this, he’s averaging 20-10 and three blocks. The last player to do that dressed up as a genie for a kids movie.
Davis took it to the Celtics with 40 points, 21 rebounds, three blocks and three steals in a 121-120 overtime victory that included a would-be game winner with one second left in regulation.
He’s scored 28 points in each of his last six games, the first player in franchise history since Glen Rice to do that. He’s averaged 32 and 16 in that span as well…including his monster game last night.
I personally can’t wait to see AD next year, with a (probable) new coach and a (hopefully) healthy team dishing him the ball. Mark these words: top. five.
Also, don’t forget we’re continuing our #ReignOn campaign with Crown Royal, marking its partnership with the NBA by highlighting landmark New Orleans Pelicans moments this season. Tweet this post out and include the #ReignOn hashtag throughout the season and we may have something for ya.
