It was a good week for us at TSS. Late delivery of the Infrared 6s, and a pair the Air Jordan 3 Infrared arrived on the doorstep ahead of schedule. Solid. The 3s have gotten some mixed reviews but after inspecting them in hand, we like them.
The retail of $170 was steep for a basic colorway on a shoe that cost $110 eight to nine years ago, but chalk it up to the game. Appreciate the retro card and hang tag though. The quality, shape, and fit are all akin to the 3s that dropped last year so don’t worry about unexpected changes. Jordan Brand might be going OD on the whole infrared craze, but the eyelets aren’t don’t resemble the same hue found on the sole or in the Jordan 6 ‘Infrareds,’ which is a good thing. The color is probably closer to varsity red, but just a tinge brighter. Meaning this shoe could pretty much go with anything, matching be damned.
Some via for wildly different colorways on these classic shoes but we say slight tweaks go best. Definitely a solid option for an everyday or “last minute” shoe that garners respect when out and about. As long as you’re okay with midsole paint cracking. Oh and by the way, lace swapping with black laces is clutch.
