For all the talk around Jadeveon Clowney, Johnny Manziel, Blake Bortles, Teddy Bridgewater and others, the player I’m most interested to see when and where he’s drafted is actually the man who helped make Manziel Heisman-worthy – wide receiver Mike Evans.
What would make the moment even more memorable is if Birdman and Slim accompanied him on stage to shake Roger Goodell’s hand. That’s because the future lottery pick made it official by becoming the first client of Cash Money Sports. The company was formed as recently as last December but no one knew how serious to take them. Now, we get our first glimpse.
*Cue the “he’s not going to get paid” comments in 3…2…1…*
Aside from the obvious joke, the anticipation now seems to stem around if Evans’ move will influence his gunslinging, autograph-signing, Nike endorsing Aggie teammate to do the same. But now that CMS has hit the ground running with their first signee – a notable one at that – I’m more interested in two things.
1. Birdman’s potential March Madness involvement. A Stunna-Calipari pic needs to happens just for its meme potential alone. Plus, there’s always the chance he stares a prospect down (Mitch Kupchak style) with the patented handrub.
2. The inevitable shot from Jay Z on a future record.
