The rivalry between UNC and Georgetown just jumped from Jordan to Nike SB. When Jordan opted for the KOs, the SB line went with the tried and true Dunk high, and arguably with much better results. The colorways remain the same but the two pairs aren’t being sold as a bundle, which is good for those looking to rep only one of the schools’ colors.
The UNC-inspired Dunks are simple and clean and come equipped with a patent leather heel panel and swoosh, maybe dating back to the patent leather Jordan 1s that released over a decade ago. Not to be outdone, the Georgetown pair lacks any patent leather but rather leather and nubuck. The use of grey and navy couldn’t have been carried out much better in this instance. The Nike lettering on the heel pays tribute to the John Thompson led Hoyas who rocked the Terminators rather than going the Dunk route. Very fitting.
The Nike SB Dunk High PRM ‘Rivalry” Pack releases this Saturday, March 22. Both pairs are $108 and will be available at select SB account locations.
