The hits just keep coming for this weekend. Every day it seems like something new, but these Reebok Question Mid ‘Banner’ joints might be a highlight for non Jordan enthusiasts. Allen Iverson got his jersey retired at the Wells Fargo center last month to much pandemonium and seeing as the Answer is back as Reebok’s brand ambassador, another retro honoring the Sixer great was a no brainer.
From first glance, the upper looks like it’s suede on suede. Nope. the toecap and mudguard are a royal blue suede, but the red on the rest of the upper is actually a basketball jersey material and tumbled leather. A proper tribute indeed. Gold accents are on the tongue and heel logo, and in the Hexalite in the shoe’s midsole. Icing on the cake would have been the word ‘Practice?’ on the insoles though. The last aspect honoring Philly’s son are the release numbers. Only 1,996 made in honor of Iverson’s rookie year. A brash and outspoken shoe mirrors the man who played in them in this latest drop.
The Reebok Question Mid ‘Banner’ drops March 14th and is limited to 1,996 pairs. Release details at Sneaker Politics.
