adidas went deep into the vault for this upcoming release. The adidas EQT Key Trainer was the first signature shoe with adidas for Keyshawn Johnson aka Non-Belieber Number One. The Trainers took elements from the Crazy 8 and slapped them on a low-top football trainer. Sound reasoning seeing as both Kobe and Keyshawn were signed to the company around the same time as rookies.
Not too sure about the comfort level of these joints, but I do recall the tagline of “The feet you wear” with the foot face logo on the shoe. The key-shaped hangtag is ill as well, and given these flicks of the retros, the quality hasn’t changed too much over the years. A curious characteristic on the soles is the lack of nubs similar to Nike’s turf shoes, but Key enjoyed them just fine without slipping all over the field. Another clean retro in time for warm weather if bulky basketball hi-tops aren’t your thing.
The adidas EQT Key Trainer releases April 5th.
