What more can be said about Concords? Top 5 Jordan of all time, easily. And after MJ teased the sneaker world rocking the Air Jordan 11 Low ‘Concord’ many years ago and more recently bro-ing out to some beer pong, they’re finally coming out for the rest of us to wear proudly.
Comparing the original with the retro, not much has changed other than swapping the white sockliner for black, which is an improvement in my eyes. The only troubling thing is the texture of the black patent leather. In pics it doesn’t have as smooth appearance as past releases. Not sure if it’s just the individual pair or if JB decided to go with a different supplier of materials. Either way, it won’t deter yours truly.
A little advice for those clamoring for a pair. Spray the hell out of these with protector, and steer clear of the condiments at cookouts with these babies on. Nothing ruins a weekend day for us sneakerheads faster than a missed release or kicks that got stained the first day of being worn. Save the BBQ sauce stains and alcohol spillage for the Roshes.
The Air Jordan 11 Low ‘Concord’ releases May 3rd for $150.
