In TNT’s first basketball broadcast since Craig Sager confirmed that he was diagnosed with leukemia started off in the only way it really could with a tribute to colorful reporter. Dressed in their brightest duds the TNT crew all sent some words of encouragement out to their colleague, and as I personally found out recently that support and those kind words can and do go a long way.
As a bonus TNT is going to have Craig’s son do the customary fourth quarter in game interview with Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, at the behest of Pop.
Yeah, f*ck cancer. #GetWellSager
Update: In fashion only Sager’s BFF could, Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich paid homage to his sideline brethren while being interviewed by Craig’s son. According to Sager Jr, Coach Pop sent a handwritten letter to be given to the announcer. Where amazing happens, indeed.
