With Mike Woodson donezo as NY’s head coach, there’s also another bright spot for the people of Gotham on the horizon: The Nike Air Flightposite One ‘Knicks.’
The Knickerbockers get a pretty nice home white makeup this time around. The white base serves as the backdrop for splashes of game royal and orange accents. That translucent blue sole isn’t too shabby either. The colors are rounded out with a grey trim and tongue, which should help with premature signs of aging. White tongues tend to yellow fast as hell and let’s just say not everyone keeps their ankles clean enough to warrant white trim around the top of the shroud.
A pearl white material would have been pretty crazy for these Flightposites. Nonetheless, Nike dropped a well done shoe here and while they might not exactly fly off of shelves, at least they didn’t channel Spike’s style sensibilities in the design. No, they didn’t come out in time for the final week of the season, but there’s always Mets games.
The Nike Air Flightposite One ‘Knicks’ releases May 3rd for $210.
