The NYPD Stopped A Lot Of People From Buying Those Ugly Supreme Foamposites

The New York Police Department did their duty to serve and protect by saving sneakerheads from themselves on Wednesday evening.

On the eve of the Supreme x Nike Foamposite release slated for Thursday, an outrageous crowd gathered in front Supreme SoHo store, a group so big that the NYPD came through and forced everyone to disperse. They also advised the brand not to sell their latest drop in the store out of “concern for public safety” and to avoid a repeat of the chaos. Therefore, Supreme decided to take the allocated stock and add it to their online release today at 11AM EST.

And, like that, the resale value of these shoes plus the accompanying short set just went up a few hundred dollars.

View evidence of the chaos below.

Update: A pic reportedly take this morning shows that people have reconvened and started lining up again, even though the cops said not to…and the store has a sign posted indicating the shoes won’t be sold in-store. Don’t you ever change, sneakerfiends.
