Well. There you have it. After a decade-long drought and months since they made the announcement they’d be at Coachella, we finally got the 27-song set from the rap gods. It was…I don’t know. I’m still trying to process it all, honestly.
I think everyone was taken aback by the atmosphere. Andre 3000 seemed perplexed by the crowd’s lack of energy and the crowd clearly wasn’t a collection of long-time fans who could belt out “softly, as if I played pianos in the dark” on cue. But hey, Three Stacks will probably feel okay when he gets that Coachella check.
So watch, enjoy the hits and just realize that this is what Outkast looks like in 2014 for better or worse.
