What’s a little lean worth? A lot, apparently. After getting arrested for possession of codeine and marijuana in LA International Airport last June, the rapper’s punishment has been determined.
Rapper 2 Chainz has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance in a case filed after his arrest at Los Angeles International Airport.
District attorney’s spokeswoman Jane Robison says the rapper, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, was sentenced Monday to an 18-month drug diversion program, and a felony drug possession charge was dropped.
Oof. Tough break.
Say what you will about drugs, but they have to make the constant tour life at least somewhat livable. All those shows, public appearances and general day-to-day conditions have to be a nightmare to navigate completely sober.
The lesson, as always: if you’re a rapper, just get one of your friends to hold the drugs.
