I was so torn when I found this out.
On the one hand, this is such a beautiful idea, re: patterns, colorways, etc.
I was SUPER mad that adidas beat Nike to it, because The Swoosh had not one but two (through Jordan Brand) models of kicks that this tech could have applied to, but settled for super plain colorways and rehashes of elephant/cement print. Yeesh.
On the other hand, I can see A BUNCH of heads throwing all kinds of fuck shit on their pair, thinking how cool they are, when really they just look like a huge douchebag walking around with a closeup of weed (or worse allover weed print – bleh) on these masterpieces… Or something else ridiculous like baby pics or rudimentary R.I.P. the Homie designs….
@John Gotty See I didn’t even realize that because it wouldn’t occur to me to put anything offensive or borderline on my kicks/clothes. I was just raised different. I’m grown and everything ain’t funny.
i have no idea how they’re going to regulate it w/ pics, but the ones i mentioned previously, they seem to catch stuff. At least I think so since we don’t see a lot of weird crap on jerseys or shoes as a result.
