Truth be told, I have no clue who the hell Stefan Janoski is. But credit is due for his shoes being Nike SB’s most popular model aside from the almighty Dunk. And since the Janoski Max releases have been doing really well, another remix is upon us in the form of the Nike SB Lunar Janoski.
Instead of retooling the upper, the Lunar Janoski remain mostly the same with the exception of some weird tongue notches that are also found on the Premium SE pairs. The Lunarlon sole doesn’t add much bulkiness to the sole at all other than a few ridges for aesthetics, and the rest of the shoe still maintains that sleek, timeless appeal with.
There are upgrades to the bottom of the sole as well with a more aggressive herringbone print and a thicker outer layer for some more protection against decks and pavement. Pretty much an educated guess from yours truly though, since I haven’t touched a board in over a decade and sure as hell wouldn’t use these suede beauties to skate in. They might look more and more like Lunar Oneshots, but the Lunar Janoskis are still in a class of their own.
The Nike SB Lunar Janoski drops May 10th at select SB retailers.
