For the moment, Mack Maine says the signing rumors are untrue. Still, it would be an intriguing move by the Southern Hip-Hop conglomerate. If the Juelz signing becomes more than just the latest product of the Internet rumor mill, it would be the most recent in a string of superstars of the mid-2000s signing to the house that Wayne built to rejuvenate their careers.
But signing is only half the battle.
Would we actually get some new music besides guest appearances on a bloated Rich Gang posse cut? When is the last time YMCMB put out an album on somebody besides Birdman, Drake, Nicki, or Wayne? With Game – who seems to be walking back on his business association with the crew, while still pledging allegiance – Mystikal, Busta, and now Juelz in the mix, are there too many cooks in the kitchen to actually get a plate out to the hungry customers? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
In the meantime, has anyone seen Jae Millz lately?
