’90s Kids Rejoice! Netflix Is Bringing Back ‘The Magic School Bus’!

By 06.12.14

Hooray, ’90s educational programing! First, Reading Rainbow used crowd funding to come back from the dead, and now, thanks to the resurrecting hand of Netflix, MS. FRIZZLE BACK Y’ALL. The popular book/PBS series The Magic Schoolbus is getting a modern-day facelift.

Details are scarce, but according to E!, this thing is real as f*ck:

Scholastic Media is reviving the popular brand with a new series on Netflix, The Magic School Bus 360° [which will consist of 26 half-hour computer-animated episodes], set to launch in 2016.

The new series will be a modern take on the classic Scholastic book and TV series that followed the adventures of a teacher, her class and a school bus with magic abilities. Rest easy, Ms. Frizzle will be back. No word on whether Lily Tomlin will return to voice the redhead teacher, but she is part of the Netflix series with her new series Grace and Frankie.

As long as the producers can fight the urge to include dubstep, we cool.
