On “Suicide City,” Long Beach newcomer NameBrand takes listeners on a journey through his tattered upbringing, painting pictures of his past that offer an immediate introduction to his paranoid persona and the rationale for living in the rear-view. Even though we’ve never heard his music, his intricate songwriting reeled us in to the point where we not only know him a bit, but can’t wait to find out more.
