Friday, July 4th is going to be a doozy. Not only will I be recovering from the Future show the night before, but it appears that Gucci is dropping Trap House 4 and his former protege Young Scooter’s dropping his next tape 80’s Baby. I’m glad that I’ll have the day off from work to deal with it all.
For no specific, discernible reason, two new Scooter songs popped up yesterday, both of which will be on 80’s Baby. Two is better than one, maybe?
“Bag It Up” features Future and Casino, while “Young New N*ggas” features Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan. Both of tunes are pretty standard as far as trap-rap goes, in terms of beats, subjects, and even the guest appearances. Nonetheless, Scooter brings his A-game and reminds us that he’s more than capable of a respectable rap appearance when he feels like it.
