I pride myself on being a rather savvy sports fan. Yet, I had no clue whatsoever Chad Johnson (formerly known as Chad Ochocino) was playing in the Canadian Football League. Here he is, however, catching his first CFL touchdown as a member of the Montreal Alouettes.
And then getting up close and personal with the ref.
As for the specifics, it was Chad’s first and only catch of the day – 46 yards per catch always looks good in the stat sheet – in what was his third game for the Alouettes. Unfortunately, Montreal fell 34-33 to Winnipeg and I’m going to stop here because I know absolutely nothing about the CFL.
In case you’re wondering, though, that is Troy Smith of Ohio State fame who slung the pill to Chad.
