Does this shoe mean that the almighty Roshe is dead? Probably not. But given the poor sales of the recent Roshe models, it might be time to cash out and start (somewhat) new with the Nike Kaishi. Not to be confused with that hippie cereal. Call me a blasphemer but I’m feeling these way more than the first release Roshes.
The front 1/3 of the Kaishi is pretty much a Roshe but everything else gets a slight update with the same price point as the originator of the most comfortable lounging Nike in the market. Suede panels, oval SB styled laces and a splayed sole for stability makes the Kaishis better looking and less like you’re stepping around on a bigass marshmallow. The updated Nike font on the back adds to the more modern lines of the shoe too.
The Nike Kaishi is available in three colorways via email order and in store at Packer Shoes for $70. What buyers are getting is a new and improved lounge shoe at a price even the frugal sneakerheads can nod in approval at.
