Jordan Brand just ensured that not one sale shall be hit up on Black Friday on my end. I’ll be saving my dough for the return of the Air Jordan 6 Black/Infrareds.
My ‘Varsity Red’ 6s will finally get some much needed rest time. Most sneaker stalwarts will probably expect a drop in quality (like cardboard textured nubuck) this year. Surprise surprise! That isn’t the case. In fact, Jordan Brand added something for the masses – A 3M underlay beneath the holes in the upper. Tough to tell from the given pics, but when the light hits these the first time being rocked… Moonwalking will occur post haste.
Ready for the bad news? Too bad. This year’s release is hitting for $185 instead of the standard $170. Maybe it’s only a $15 uptick for staying truer to the originals as part of their remastered program but it still hurts, especially around the holidays. The tipping point definitely won’t be this release though. It’ll probably be when JB starts charging $250 for some retroed 6 Rings. Until then, like a big dummy, I’ll keep paying the extra. Help. Me. Baby. Jebus.
The Air Jordan 6 Black/Infrared releases November 28th for $185.
