Serena Williams may or may not have been nursing a hangover today at Wimbledon, but a former (alleged) love interest of hers caught a drop shot or two courtesy of Nick Kyrgios.
Per the reports, Kyrgios is a rising superstar in the men’s tennis circuit and narrowly edged by Jiri Vesely 3-6, 6-3, 7-5, 6-2 of yesterday’s third round. A win is a win and that’s all that matters at the end of the day, but some fine reporter decided to inquire about the first set (the one Nick lost). His response?
“I came out really flat, so hopefully I won’t listen to that again! It was actually Drake. Didn’t do the job for me,” said Kyrgrios.
Well, we know who won’t be getting their own song created for them now. For all that, Kyrgios should’ve thrown Obama and LeBron under the bus as the other two members of the North American Holy Trinity of “Who To Blame Whenever Something Goes Wrong” committee.
Whatever the case is, it worked. Like a motherf*cker. Kyrgrios not only won today. He beat Rafael Nadal to advance to the quarterfinals.
