What a difference colors make. I’m sold on the Nike KD7 after seeing the ’35,000 Degrees’ release. Durant and designer Leo Chang are on a tear and, aside from the KD V, I’m happy to be along for the ride. The temperature in the nickname refers to lightning and KD’s childhood love for meteorology for those wondering. Not to mention the speed for a basketball player his size.
All of the details fans of Durant have grown to appreciate still make their way into the seventh signature. His family members’ names are located on the inside of the forefoot strap, and an outline of Maryland is etched on the sole with accompanying geographical lines. Discovering these design gems is like a game of Where’s Waldo, only much cooler.
The Nike KD7 ’35,000 Degrees’ releases July 12th for $150.
