Outasight brought his energy down a few notches for “Anchor Down” and we’re very OK with that. Instead of the more modern, upbeat jams he had been delivering over the past few years, this versatile Yonkers artist has seemingly returned to his roots on this downtrodden slow-burner. Trying to make amends with his feelings for a certain lady, OU elegantly loiters atop a bruised bassline and layered drums, pleading for company to soothe his lonesome.
Considering the girl walks away at the end of this hazy visual, we’re not quite sure if Outasight’s approach paid off. But, the track? Yeah, that works.
