Tracy Morgan Gets A Positive Update On Recovery. Comedian Sues Walmart

Tracy Morgan’s accident got a pleasant update over the weekend. The funnyman was released from the hospital and transferred to a rehab facility to recover from the tragic accident that left him with broken ribs and broken legs and took the life of fellow comedian James McNair. Morgan’s expected to remain in rehab for several weeks but reports indicate he’s making great progress even though he still has a long way to go.

That’s not all for Morgan. On the legal side, there’s been an update involving him and other passengers involved in the accident as filed suit against Walmart last Thursday alleging negligence on the company’s part.

“Walmart was careless and negligent in the ownership and operation of its motor vehicle, which caused Mr. Morgan to suffer severe personal injuries,” the complaint reads. “As a direct and proximate result of said collision, Mr. Morgan was caused to sustain severe painful bodily injuries, including but not limited to multiple fractures which required multiple surgeries, extensive medical treatment and will require significant physical rehabilitation.”

“Plaintiffs include Krista Millea, the wife of late comedian James McNair, who died in the accident, as well as Morgan’s assistant, Jeffrey Millea, and comedian Ardie Fuqua. The plaintiffs are suing for negligence, and in addition, Millea is suing for loss of consortium.”

I had to look up the definition for “loss of consortium” to learn that it’s a legal term for when a spouse can’t fulfill his or her marital relations. Although the suit doesn’t specific how much the plaintiffs are suing for but they’re suing Walmart and we all know the circumstances mean they shouldn’t have a problem winning. But, if I had to, I’d publicly say I can’t get it up if it meant pocketing several million. I’d stand up in court and show my flaccid penis if needed.

Walmart has released a statement saying they’re “committed to doing the right thing for all involved.”
