Jae Millz Explains Why Young Money Won’t Drop His Debut Album Seven Years Later

By 08.25.14

Eleven years have passed since Jae Millz’s debut single, “No, No, No.”

Seven of those have come laid up/trapped under the Cash Money/Young Money umbrella. His debut album is still in production – ironically called Nothing Is Guaranteed – which means there’s a better chance J.R. Smith leads the league in assists before Millz drops anything resembling an album under Stunna and Slim’s watch.

So what’s Jae Millz been doing, you ask?

Harlem’s own sat down with Jenny Boom Boom to talk what the hell happened to his album and basically why no one outside of Wayne, Drake and Nicki (and Tyga) get any real push in Young Money’s business plans.

Millz is making money somehow, whether it be through ghostwriting or, well, let’s pray it’s something like ghostwriting. If a promoter’s booking Millz, then that promoter’s fallen on hard times. And hopefully fellow Harlemite Juelz Santana hasn’t convinced Jae to “Boss Up” wit him.

As for Young Money being a tight knit family who all share the same resources, that’s not exactly the case.

“So you think Nicki and Cory Gunz got the same manager? So you think Drake and Gudda Gudda got the same manager?”

Point well-taken.

Bonus: All jokes aside, nothing or no one can ever take this away from Millz.
