“Juicy J so presidential, Don’t make me press that button…”
Juicy J’s not playing any games right now. For “Low,” the first single off his upcoming album The Hustle Continues, rap game Jeff Spicoli went back to superproducer Dr. Luke, who he worked with for Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse,” to capture a sound that teeters between rap and almost pop enough for radio play. Playful and catchy enough for the teenyboppers, yet rhythmic enough for the thots to twerk to.
To tip the scales, the Juice then taps Nicki Minaj, Young Thug and Lil Bibby, last heard with Juicy on “Holy Ghost,” to each add their stylings to the track. What’s likely to happen is “Low” will finds its way to multiple charts and clubs, proving again that Juicy J’s making the most out of his latest career resurgence.
