The Beats: Our vinyl weighs a ton soundtrack

In one of his first releases since his insta-classic with Gangsta Gibbs on Piñata, legendary producer Madlib recently announced he’ll be letting loose all his cuts off the score of Stones Throw’s documentary, Our Vinyl Weighs A Ton on an LP entitled The Beats, which is slated to drop September 9th.

Konducta’s first release off the project is “Cue 4,” a classic concoction from the producer’s catalogue that synthesizes an Indian sitar-like sample with some smooth horns to give the instrumental a chilled out feel. Per usual, Madlib does his thing as true Hip-Hop heads wait thirsty and patiently for the producer’s latest project-offering that is surely to consume the brunt of cypher sessions this fall.
