Iggy Azalea isn’t the only female rapper making history these days, so is Nicki Minaj.
With the release of “Anaconda,” the “Stupid Hoe” rapper has now logged in more entries on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart than Michael Jackson.
Also just below the Hot 100’s top 10, Minaj’s “Anaconda” slithers in as the top debut at No. 19. Sales lead the way (accounting for 71 percent of its overall points), as the cut launches at No. 3 on Digital Songs with 141,000. The song is Minaj’s 51st Hot 100 hit, extending her mark for the most among female rappers (Missy Elliott is next with 31) and tying her with Eminem for the seventh-best total among all rappers; Lil Wayne leads the category with 122. Among all artists, Minaj breaks out of a tie with Michael Jackson and also equals Rod Stewart’s 51 career Hot 100 entries.
Records are meant to be broken, but not like this. Not with Ana-effin-conda.
