ICYMI, Suge Knight was shot and nowhere nearly killed Saturday night at a VMAs pre-party hosted by Chris Brown. The 6’2″ ex-football player ate up six bullets like some Scooby Snacks and walked outside the club on his volition before heading to the hospital for surgery.
While there’s been all kinds of speculation ranging from Chris Brown being the intended target, to gang affiliation, to beef with The Game, one theory being suggested by a friend of the controversial mogul involves Tupac and the resurrection of the notorious Death Row Records.
“Suge has been writing a pretty controversial film – lots of shocking details – about Tupac and exposing the truth,” one Knight friend told FOX411. “He also plans a reboot of his record label (Death Row Records) and there are still a lot of haters out there because of his past negative publicity.”
Knight, 49, was in the car when rapper Tupac was shot and killed in Las Vegas in September, 1996. According to multiple sources, an authorized biography about his life is also in the works. [Fox 411]
Suge’s family is also asking for folks to disregard all the terrible, insanely awful, downright inhumane sh*t Suge has done in his life and send prayers up instead.
In a statement released to Puffy Daddy’s Revolt TV:
“The family of Suge Knight ask that you keep Suge in your prayers and to stray away from the negativity portrayed by the media. Suge is currently resting and has lost a lot of blood, he’s human. He’s done a lot of things for the community and the culture as a whole so we ask that you respect that.”
Still, I have a gut feeling many will continue to take the Ivan Drago “if he dies, he dies” way of thinking instead of the love & light positivity they’re asking for.
