50 Cents new single “Get Low” is a throwback to the mid-to-late 2000s when his then nemesis DJ Khaled ruled the airwaves with one star-studded, blockbuster, single after another. Each featured the hottest names of the time over bombastic production perfect for NBA halftime performances by dunking mascots.
50 brings some star power of his own to “Get Low” with Jeremih singing the hook and ATL stalwarts 2 Chainz and T.I. providing respectable verses, but the song seems like something almost from a different era. Whether that’s a good or bad thing remains to be seen. The single is the first from Fif’s upcoming album Street King Immortal. No word yet on when that will hit the streets.
