Didn’t know A$AP Rocky was an aspiring producer? Neither did we. Either way, we have his first instrumental offerings below, which are off his upcoming beat tape Beauty N the Beast: Slowed Down Sessions Chapter 1. We couldn’t make this stuff up, people.
The first of the two beats is “Riot Rave,” a swarming mist of chaos, which was co-produced by “Harlem Shake” producer Bauuer and could very easily be the music you hear on your way down to hell. We mean that in the best way possible, though. The second is “unicorn,” a much more mellow offering that screws and chops Tame Impala’s single “It Seems Like We Only Go Backwards.” Although both are relatively unorthodox, they each feel like Rocky could find his flow quite easily.
Whether we like these or not, we’re interested at the possibility of the A$AP Mob leader producing his own material. After all, dialing into the music on that level can do wonders for an MC, but Kid Cudi fans might argue otherwise.
