Adele’s 21 has officially become the second album to sell a million digital downloads in the U.S. and ousts Eminem’s Recovery as the highest digital seller of all time only one week after he originally set the mark. Still sitting near the top of the charts, 21 has sold approximately 12,000 more than Slim Shady’s 2010 release according to Soundscan reports and also hails as the top selling physical album this year. 21’s total sales currently calculate to nearly 2.6 million total.

And since we’re here, I was lax on posting this video footage collected when the Brit singer took the stage at iTunes Festival on July 7th and performed her own big tunes but, more importantly, a few stellar covers, including Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me” and The Cure’s “Love Song.” Since she’s fire hot right now, the obvious thing do was box up her performance and drop the iTunes Festival: London 2011 EP on iTunes, right? More digital sales, coming through but it’s hard to imagine another artist who lives up to the billing and makes spending money for her music seem like the right thing.
