The new wave seems to be casual kicks for lounging, and I’m all for it. Not like I wear any of my sneakers for actually working out (shoutout to the beer belly). The newest addition in this new class is the adidas Originals SL Loop Runner. And yeah, it’s priced to compete with its peers but the model does so with its own look and style that make it a standout.
The two major selling points here are the 100% rubber outsole for lasting power, and the eyelets. Lack of durability, originality, and traction are the trifecta of deal breakers for affordable shoes in my eyes. adidas delivers on all fronts though. Simple, but a nice little design twist to set the SL Loop apart from Roshes, and Roshe lookalikes (SMH @ Lugz).
The SL Loop Runner is now available on adidas.com for $75. Hit the break to check out detailed pics of the SL Loop as well as stylized images from the lookbook.
