The Supreme x Air Jordan 5 ‘Desert Camo’ Collab Is Righteous

For those that thought the Nike Dunk collaboration was Supreme’s best ever, you may be in for a pleasant surprise. The Air Jordan 5 x Supreme ‘Desert Camo’ might just be a top five dead or alive Jordan team up I’ve ever seen, and another banger rumored to be dropping in the middle of fall of this year for the beasts.

Rocking with the trademark clean design, Supreme pays homage to streetwear by throwing desert camo onto the upper. The staple in the closet for many sneaker aficionados has been camo clothing so I can see why this pattern was chosen. Desert camo definitely doesn’t get enough love, as most folks opt for woodland or tiger stripe. Supreme didn’t miss a beat picking up on this and expands on the massive potential of the shoe by putting its logo on the lace locks and on the inside of the mesh side panel along with a shoutout to their ’94 starting point on the heel. Even when the inevitable yellowing occurs, there’s no mistaking how wearable these joints are.

For its simplicity, the Air Jordan 5 x Supreme ‘Desert Camo’ abides by the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” mantra. There haven’t been any drastic changes to the shape or the colors besides the switch up of materials for the upper. The rest of the shoe could pass for a general release and I’m feeling it. No concrete release details so unless you’ve got the plug of all plugs or crazy amounts of money, grab a pup tent and start camping at any of the Supreme locations now.
