The past two years have been great to the almighty Air Jordan 6. And things are about to end with a bang with the incoming ‘Maroon’ colorway. With these being the last 6s to never be retroed, Jordan Brand pulled out all the stops to make December 5 memorable with a true vintage look.

“To ensure every aspect of a Retro is accurate, Jordan Brand Footwear Team turn to the Nike Archives, sourcing original shoes to check finishes, leather texture, temper and even thread color. But getting the color and materials right doesn’t mean anything without the final step: development and production. Currently, there are dedicated factory lines and factory groups working exclusively on Jordan Retros, which are crafted with unprecedented attention to detail.”

The infamous Nike Air logo makes a return on the heel of the kicks, but the retro goodness doesn’t stop there. The upper, midsole, and even heel tab are off white, and the ice on the outsoles are missing that blue that so many OGs lamented. Definitely a throwback worthy of a Mitchell & Ness stamp of approval.

Buyers chomping at the bit should be happy that these will be a fairly wide release, so the threat of campouts and cockamamie robbery attempts should be at a minimum. Nevertheless, expect these to go quickly so oversleeping is not an option when these release on Saturday, December 5 at a retail ticket of $225.
