Apollo Brown & Guilty Simpson – “Reputation”

If you’re weren’t aware “Reputation” is everything to Detroiters, Guilty Simpson & Apollo Brown are here to smack you in the face with a reminder. Bolstered by Brown’s bellowing bell tolls and heavy hitting drums, this menacing cut finds Guilty speaking on how pride thrives in Detroit, influencing everything from our strict New Era selection to certain folks willingness to get killed over Cartier frames they can’t afford. While the dirty details might be more exhausting than appealing from an outsider’s point of view, locals will find the grimy, three-minute soundtrack to the 313 streets endearing as ever.
