Can you believe it’s been four years since the last Clipse project? Since then, one has found a new level of mainstream appeal under a new umbrella while the other brother found Jesus – a transformation he stresses is not for show. However, 2013 could see that streak soon come to an end as No Malice confirmed a new Clipse LP is in its “beginning stages.”
“Pusha and I have some serious things that we’re talking about and coming to agreement on,” said No Malice. “It’s a fitting title because pretty much everything that seems to be coming out has a religious theme… What I want the people to know is that, for me, this is not ‘cool’ — this is not a trend. This is the working power of Jesus in my life.” [Bilboard]
Pusha has hinted in the past the album – if and when it ever sees the light of day – could be titled As God As My Witness. Before this still-mythical album, Pusha T’s solo project, My Name Is My Name, is slated to drop in May with No Malice’s Hear Ye Him a month later.
It’s there on Hear where fans will find the brothers united on wax once more for a record entitled, “Shame The Devil;” a song No Malice simply refers to as “incredible.”
