R&B beef is still a thing because young August Alsina and Trey Songz are no longer cool, despite Trey previously appearing on the remix of the Nawlins singer’s “I Luv This Shit.” According to August, when it was time to do a show together, Trey’s ego got way too big for the 21-year-old and he just couldn’t handle his “fakeness.” And apparently he can’t handle being asked about their beef for the umpteenth time either.
With Testimony in stores today, August appeared on 106 and Park to peddle the album. Prior to going live, the singer apparently told the show’s hosts, Bow Wow and Keshia Chanté, that he wouldn’t be discussing the Trey situation.
Still, throwing all f*cks out the window, Keshia went ahead and brought it up anyway. What happened next cemented Young Alsina’s new status as a #RNS legend. In fact, we almost feel like this moment was landmark enough to add to our “5 Essentials” about him.
“So you just gon’ go against the grain and just go against everything that I just… I just told y’all not to ask me that shit when I got up in here.”
Poor Keisha continued digging, but Young Alsina was more interested in pushing his album and being a real n**** instead.
