August Alsina likes to talk. If you liked him and his blunt honesty after “The Incident” where he got heated at 106 & Park host Keyshia Chante for asking him about Trey Songz, then you’ll probably like him more after his interview with Hot 97. I know that I do.

Among the many things that they talked about for over 30 minutes, the first thing that they talked about is the supposed beef with Trey Songz. It was one of those conversations that simply stretched on for way too long, but he did confirm that he and Trey Songz, and Keisha Chante, too, are all cool now.

His Rumored Beef With Trey Songz

“We don’t have a problem I just talked to Trey…I think I was in Miami with Jeezy and he got on the line with Jeezy and I hollered at ’em. Honestly it doesn’t matter. The thing is, I choose to tell you what I want to tell you and the rest of it just ain’t your mother fuckin’ business. Period.”

His Remarks To 106 & Park Host Keyshia Chante

“People get honesty and being mean mixed up nowadays. If you put me in a position, that’s how I felt…I went back to BET yesterday and that’s exactly what I said. She was like, ‘I didn’t mean to disrespect you,’ and I was like, ‘Well, it wasn’t my intention to disrespect you.’ Yeah, there was a conversation. But the thing was, before this conversation, I felt how I felt and I spoke on how I felt. You know. I don’t take back nothing that I said.”

“I speak from my heart,” he admits. “I got a big f***in’ mouth. I don’t know how to change that.” The reality is, even though he may be wrong in how he addresses topics, at least we can give Alsina a certain amount of credit for speaking from the heart and standing behind his words.
