Boldy James – Grand Quarters EP

03.07.13 5 years ago 4 Comments

After consistently working to transition his street smarts into an equally profitable booth routine for around three years now, Boldy James’ worlds are coexisting in perfect harmony on his latest Grand Quarters EP.

Dominated by bare-bones production from his cousin Chuck Inglish and an extremely dense six song tracklist, this refined project features more of the descriptive rhymes that make James’ tales of thriving in Detroit’s drug zone so authentic, via his always impetuous confidence and slow-motion flow. Plus, between brow-wiping narratives like “Gettin’ Flicked,” sub-thumping hits such as “For The Birds” and even a revised version of fan favorite “JIMBO,” this tightly-packed EP has a little something for everybody.

Thanks to Decon, you can stream Grand Quarters in it’s entirety below, before heading over to iTunes and properly supporting the 313 native’s hustle with some paper.
