Bun B – “The Game Belong To Me”/”Damn I’m Cold” from MZ on Vimeo.

Bun B. braved the Midwest cold as he stopped in Columbus, OH this week as part of the Scion Live Metro Series. I’m not sure what Columbus did to deserve this, but we’ve gotten shows from Black Sheep, EPMD, and M.O.P as well this year. Backed by Funk/Soul Band Orgone, Mr. Trill ripped his set full of songs from his and U.G.K.’s discographies.

Please excuse the few camera jumps, but the Long Island’s were in full effect when I got the epiphany to shoot some video. “Drunk nights get remembered more than sober ones” (word to Common) and this night was no exception. TC & I got to chop it up briefly with him after the show and he’s definitely a humble and down to earth man, Trill indeed.

I know I wasn’t too kind to “Everything” in the when II Trill was reviewed, but the song has grown on me since then and it killed live. Can’t wait to see who Scion brings to town next!
