Cam’ron’s music isn’t your cup of tea? **deep sigh** That’s fine. His interviews? Now that’s an entirely different argument.

Shot at some point during the recording process for Cam’s sophomore album S.D.E., he, Jim Jones and Freekey Zekey sat down for an interview that became equal parts hilarious, informative and entertaining. As far as the subject matter covered, Cam speaks at length about his new label situation with Epic, his feelings on Ma$e bolting for Atlanta and life before Confessions Of Fire.

The clip itself is well-worth the 10 minutes or so it helps kill at work. Yet, it’s Cam opening up on life back at home after being kicked out of junior college and the power struggle with his grandma that’s especially comical. Not saying expulsion from school, pretending to go back to school in the Bronx only to sell drugs is funny, but when Cam’s the narrator, laughter is pretty much a given.

“In between the time I got kicked out of school and getting a deal was like the worst time cause you in your grandmother house,” recalled Cam. “She like ‘get a job’ and you telling her you trying to rap. And she like ‘f*ck you mean you trying to rap? That rap sh*t ain’t poppin’, n*gga!'”

Asked otherwise generic questions, Cam makes the most of the moment. Then again, being zooted out of his mind making him more willing to ramble on helps in that department, too. Killa and Jones end the interview with a few bars, where Cam – for whatever reason – rhymes he thinks Juelz Santana is on PCP.

There never is or will be a dull moment with Cam.
