Chance The Rapper Everybody's Something Video

Chance The Rapper debuts a new visual for “Everybody’s Something,” from his stellar Acid Rap project. Directed, shot, and edited by Austin Vesely, the video showcases words and phrases flashing across the screen to accompany Chance’s lyrics.

It’s hard to predict anything in today’s music scene, especially not with rappers. A guy can come through on a whim, have a true hit song or project then never reach that level again. Or, a guy can be overlooked for multiple outings but getting better then finding audio gold.

I can’t predict which way Chance’s career will go but I can say that Acid Rap‘s without a doubt one of my top projects for the first half of 2013. It’s witty and personal. It’s rapping and skatting. It’s a project that traces its lineage from so many Chicago acts before it, yet it’s unique and fresh. It’s a strong leap from 10 Day. It’s months old but still sounds as new as the listen on day one. And it’s damn near a masterpiece.

Right now, Chance’s “Everybody’s Something.”
