A few weeks ago I took my younger cousin to one of those prospective student weekends every college holds for high school seniors. During the trip up the highway, we talked about undergrad life, mainly what she needed to do to assure she would not end up like so many other girls who leave home for the first time. After the birds, bees, bottles and blunts talk was out of the way, she turned the radio up and proceeded to tell me about the songs that are currently all the rage with the youngsters. Naturally, being a 17 year old young woman, Chris Brown is one of her favorite artists and his newest single, “She Ain’t You,” landed on the airwaves.
It was the first time I had ever heard the song (still have not gone through the entire album), but I was pleasantly surprised. And, of course, said song has a video. While less dramatic than his first tribute to Michael Jackson, Brown samples “Human Nature” for the carefree single and even dons the white suit from Mike’s “Smooth Criminal” video.
