Last night, CNN aired an audio tape that is said to feature a recording of the gunshots that killed Michael Brown on August 9. The tape’s authenticity is still being checked out by the FBI, but the man – who was having quite the unique conversation at the time – had his attorney, Lopa Blumenthal, speak with Don Lemon regarding the revelation.
Yesterday, Brown was laid to rest, two weeks after six bullets tore through his body killing him instantly. Those six shots are the ones confirmed by the widely recognized outside autopsy. The recording, however, exposes nearly double that amount in shots fired.
“I personally heard at least eleven,” Blumenthal said.
What this means for the future of the investigation is anyone’s guess. Between this recording and the picture of Brown’s father in unexplainable grief at his son’s burial, however, somehow an emotional situation became even more heartbreaking.
